Classical Ballet Classes Dublin

The art of Ballet can trace its origins to the early seventeenth century, when dancers performed to entertain audiences between scenes of an opera . These short dances grew in popularity and importance until they became a form of theatre in their own right. As the years passed, Russia became the international centre of ballet, combining the strength and passion of Italian style with the softness and fluidity of the French school.

The term Modern Dance is typified as being the style of theatrical dance seen in the period between the 1970’s and 1980’s with a strong Classical Ballet influence, in its purest technical sense, the movement is generally fluid and balletic, although it does include the dynamic highlights and tricks of Jazz Dance with isolations kicks and leaps. Modern Dance is normally classified as being either Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance or sometimes Classical Jazz or Modern Jazz.

As a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance Students are obliged to take their R.A.D. graded exams where I have achieved a 100% success rate.
